The only reason this beautiful beach is not more popular is that it is located on the East coast away from the major tourist areas. Despite this, Playa los Patos has shimmering sand and clean water, as well as a river the cuts right through the beach.

Located in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, south-southwest of Paraiso, Playa los Patos is on the South coast of the Dominican Republic. You might want even if you are not staying particularly close by. It's often said that Playa los Patos is the ideal location for getting away from vacation stresses, like overly crowded restaurants and attractions. Other nearby beaches in the Dominican Republic may have the same warm sand and calming breezes as Playa los Patos, but tend to be busier because they're right around the corner from the area's major hotels and resorts.
