Playa Madama

Located at the very tip of La Samana, Playa Madama is a calm cove protected from the large waves of the Atlantic. Visitors will find it perfect for swimming, playing, relaxing, or really anything, as the calm and crystal clear water and soft sand are inviting all around.

Located in the Samana Peninsula, 3.3 miles northeast of Arroyo Del Cabo, Playa Madama is on the East-Northeast coast of Hispaniola. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by.

How to Access The Beach
When on Samana, simply head East. At the end you will find a dirt road that take you right to the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Despite all the beauty that Playa Madama has to offer, it its a bit small and an easily become crowded. Luckily, its distance makes it less visited than other beaches.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. The water here is of good snorkeling quality, so bring along some equipment if you're looking to see some exciting marine life.

Playa Madama grants a calm and peaceful environment, thanks to the fact that the location that surrounds the beach isn't too crowded at all.

This pleasant stretch of sand known as Playa Madama is on the East-Northeast coast of Hispaniola. Iguanario Los Tocones is one of the favorite local destinations.

Some may feel that museums and beaches are an odd combination, but some visitors find that museums like Shipwreck Maritime Museum (located 13 miles away) offer an entertaining diversion and a new way to experience the Dominican Republic's culture.

Nearby, you'll find the city of Las Galeras, which is in an area with plenty of worthwhile sites, while still remaining less developed and congested as some other places.
