The nearest section of Hispaniola to Playa Palenque is. This location is just one and a quarter miles from the beach, so you needn't use up an entire day here. This region in the Dominican Republic is a region with interesting things to do, yet is never overly congested.
Whether or not you encounter many other people will be influenced by everything from the time of day to the capacity of nearby hotels.
Don't anticipate finding any of the Dominican Republic's large hotels close to this beach, but if you're trying to evade throngs of travelers, the lack of accommodation possibilities will certainly be a pleasant sight.
