This large beach tucked onto Bahia de las Calderas remains largely uncrowded, thanks to the distance from any major tourist area. However, driving here grants everyone fantastic views of Dominican Republic's sand dunes that are in this area.

Located in the Western side of the Dominican Republic, Playa Salinas is on the South coast of the Dominican Republic. You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity.

Carretera Maximo Gomez, also known as Route 510, is the best way for tourist to reach the area.

The large beach is pretty free of any development, so you will likely not see any amenities here at all.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Playa Salinas brings visitors a quiet and serene escape, since the surrounding region is positioned apart from more urban areas.
