Dorado Beach East Course

The East Course has been renovated by the son of the course's original design, bringing it up to and beyond modern standards. An aggressive tree management program has restored the original site lines on most of the holes. Native sands have been brought in to fill the new bunker designs, and the immaculately maintained Bermuda greens allow for double digit green speeds.

Course Description

Built in 1958, this course in Puerto Rico has made itself an established site to hit or play a few rounds of golf. The lay of the land, holes, and sand traps are all part of the design by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the architect of the course. The golf course has a course rating of 70.5, and its 18 holes stretch out a length of 6086 yards. Also be aware that there's a golf professional, Miguel Colon Jr., on-site, so think about this location if you're not an experienced golfer.

The course is long and challenging if played from the championship tees. However, the forward tees allow golfers of varying abilities to enjoy this beautiful course. No matter where golfers choose to play from, water hazards, extensive bunkering, and obstacles in the form of large tropical trees will have to be overcome in order to turn in a decent round.
