This is the tougher of the two Plantation Courses here (the other being the Pineapple Course). Although fairways are comparatively larger, bunkers are deeper and more intimidating, and there are more forced carries. While it may not appear at first to be the more challenging of the two, errant shots are punished much more severely here. You'll want to take full advantage of birdie opportunities on the front nine, because it is very difficult to make up ground on the final stretch.
It has been given a course rating of 70.3, and its 18 holes measure a total length of 6032 yards.
The front nine of the Sugarcane Course plays through a lovely assortment of tropical trees, and occasionally alongside some the property's resort complexes. The back nine offers a much different look. These holes are situated along newly created bodies of water, with 4 or 5 holes wrapping around the massive lake at the center of the course.
