Nathan’s Bay Beach

The tiny Nathan's Bay Beach does not offer much room for people looking to play on the beach. However, if you plan on simply laying out in the sand or enjoying the cool water, Nathan's Bay will suffice.

Set on the island of Elbow Cay, You might want to drop by even if you are not staying in the immediate vicinity.

How to Access The Beach
You will need a boat if you want to visit this beach. While it is accesible by car, you will still need to get onto Elbow Cay first, and that will need to be by boat.

Amenities and Ambiance

There is a line of trees that back the beach, offering guests plenty of shade from the hot sun. However, there is not much sand between the trees and the water, so be careful of the tides or you might get wet. With that said, if you are planning to get wet then this is a great beach. The water here is as clear as it comes in the Bahamas.

You could always try the restaurant right on the water, if it suits your taste. Each destination around the Caribbean has its own culinary style, and the Bahamas is no different. One truly memorable place to enjoy delicious local specialties is right next to the coast. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. You will find the water here is fit for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some gear if you're looking to see some exciting marine life.
