Flight options abound on Eleuthera

Although only one mile wide at most points, Eleuthera is long and thin, measuring 110 miles long. For this reason, there are three different airports on the island, allowing tourists flying into the area to get as close to their accommodations as possible.

The airports are spread out fairly evenly, with one on the northern tip, one close to the center, and one to the south. All are small airports with just one runway and small buildings housing customs facilities, and see only a small amount of air traffic each day. The only direct flights to Eleuthera from outside of the Bahamas originate in the U.S. State of Florida, so international travelers will have to first make arrangements to fly to either Florida or Nassau before they can make their final flight to this island.

This table informs you of which airlines schedule flights directly from the U.S. as well as the airports they fly from. Online booking engines don't consistently show the most logical options so it can be handy to know which airlines actually provide direct service to this location.

No one airport on Eleuthera is better than the others. They all offer the same types of facilities, and most airlines that service the area make stops at all three. The deciding factor to which airport you'll fly into will most likely be determining which airline is closest to your accommodations. Once that decision has been made, you'll find everything else will just fall into place.
