Cotton Bay Beach

Easy to reach yet still retaining its natural feel and seclusion, Cotton Bay Beach is perfect for anyone looking to get away from the crowds and city. Just a drive through a tiny forest and you are in peace.

Positioned on the southern coast of the island of Eleuthera, 1.9 miles southeast of Green Castle, You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity.

How to Access The Beach
On Sherman's Highway after leaving Greencastle heading north, there will be a series of dirt roads heading East. These roads will take you right to the beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is lined by a small collection of tropical trees that block the beach from the road, helping to ensure some privacy. The beach itself has a bit of debris on the sand, with waves leaving behind algae and plants. Once you get past those, there is nothing separating you from the water, and you can relax in the cool, calm, and clear ocean that the Bahamas is famous for.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.

If you usually choose beach days that grant a calm place to escape, then you should enjoy Cotton Bay Beach; it's found within a less urban section of the region.
