Current Bay Beach

One of the Northern most beaches on Eleuthera Island, Current Bay Beach can be a bit of a drive, but anyone willing to make it will be rewarded with a quiet beach and amazing sights.

Positioned on the northwestern side of the island of Eleuthera, You might want to drop by even if you aren't staying in the vicinity. It's often said that Current Bay Beach is the ideal location for getting away from vacation stresses, like overly crowded restaurants and attractions. Most other beaches in the Bahamas may be just as breezy and refreshing, but are usually busier since they're located by some of the most popular tourist areas in town.

How to Access The Beach
Anyone on Eleuthera Island who wants to head over to Current Bay will need to take the Public Highway as far North as it will go. Once the road splits, head right (East) and you will end at Current Bay Beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Bordered on one side by a dense forest and the other-side by an underwater forest, Current Bay Beach is perfect for anyone up to a little exploring.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. The water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you're looking to see what goes on beneath the surface.

If you happen to go for sunny days that provide a relaxing place to escape, then think about trying out Current Bay Beach; it's found in a more rural sector of Eleuthera.
