Gert Bay Beach

A bit darker than your average tropical beach, Gert Bay Beach is less visited than others, which also has the benefit of allowing it to offer more privacy than most.

Positioned toward the center of the island of Eleuthera, 5.1 miles southeast of North Palmentton Point, Gert Bay Beach is on the Southeast coast of the island, You should consider dropping by regardless of whether you are staying in the immediate vicinity. This isn't just another pretty beach, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like the Bahamas. While Gert Bay Beach may be a bit off the beaten path, it's the best place to take an undisturbed nap on the sand.

How to Access The Beach
The only land route to Get Bay is to take the road off of Queen's Highway that head towards Double Bay, and turning south when it ends. This will take you down a rough dirt road that leads to Gert Bay Beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

Lined with palm trees and underbrush on one side and sparkling blue water on the other, Gert Bay Beach is a bit more natural than the more popular Eleuthera beaches, but is still tropical and full of beauty.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside. You will find the water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so grab your equipment if you want to see the underwater world.

If you happen to favor beach days that bring visitors an angelic experience, then a good choice for you is Gert Bay Beach; it is located in a more rural sector of Eleuthera.
