A secluded island that can only be reached by powerboat, this private island offers an opportunity to relax on a quiet beach, grab an iced cold drink from the open bar, or experience a variety of interesting wildlife, including island pigs, sharks and iguanas.

Set on the island of Ship Channel Cay, this beach is on the East edge of the island, You might want regardless of whether you are staying nearby. This beach is not just another beautiful natural attraction, it is one of the more unique and quiet beaches in the Bahamas. While Ship's Channel Cay may be a little more trouble to reach, it's the best place to take an undisturbed nap on the sand.

The island itself is lush with greenery, leading up to a soft, pristine shoreline which has some of the bluest waters you can ever think to see.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so grab your equipment if you want to see what lies beneath the surface.

If you find that you desire shores that offer a tranquil haven, then you may want to try Ship's Channel Cay; it is hidden away in a more natural area of Ship Channel Cay.

The all-inclusive cost, including the power boat ride, a freshly prepared lunch featuring grilled steaks and seafood, pasta and vegetables, hot dogs, salads, cheese platters, tropical fruit platters, and open bar is $219 for adults and $160 for children.

It might take some time to get there, but at 36 miles away, Nassau is the closest town. though you may see some small, residential towns as you get closer to the beach.


How many other people you encounter at Ship's Channel Cay will depend on how many hotel guests decide to make the trip as well.

Don't expect to find any of The Bahamas' frequently visited resorts and hotels alongside this beach, though if you're trying to evade throngs of vacationers, the lack of accommodation options will surely be welcomed.


You might not run into any places to grab a bit to eat close to this shore, so it would be a good idea to plan a picnic for your day in the sun.

Ship Channel Cay has many nice beaches, so if Ship's Channel Cay doesn't sound like your type of scene, you have options.
