Surfer's Beach

As its name would suggest, Surfer's Beach is a hot spot for those for dedicated surfers, and the waves here have been known to reach over 10 feet high. The breaks mostly swell in, and are long lefts with some steep rights. To catch the best waves, visit this beach during the winter and early spring months as the cold front is passing.

Located just outside the heart of the island of Eleuthera, 1.9 miles east-southeast of Gregory Town, Surfer's Beach is on the North West coast of the island, You might want to drop by even if you are not staying in the vicinity. When you need to spend the afternoon away from tourist-filled hotspots, you should consider visiting Surfer's Beach.

Surfer's Beach is located on the Atlantic side of the island, where the waves are at their highest. Even experienced surfers may want to take caution depending on the time of year. Even going out to watch the surfers can make for a very exciting experience.

The snack bar located at this spot is perfect for quick lunches and cold drinks, too. Sometimes, visitors will be able to purchase food from one of the local vendors who typically set up shop here.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business. During the week there are virtually no crowds at Surfer's Beach, and on the weekends you can expect to find just a few more people here.
