Winding Bay Beach

Frequented mainly by the villa residents that stay right on the sand, Winding Bay Beach is an ideal getaway spot, as you join the tourist who are looking simply to relax and enjoy the tropical breeze.

Located on the island of Eleuthera, 1.8 miles southeast of Tarpum Bay, Winding Bay Beach is on the South-Southeast edge of the island, You should consider dropping by whether or not you're staying in the vicinity. Winding Bay Beach stands out because it's one of the best spots for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Many of the other beaches you'll come across in the Bahamas may be just as pretty, but tend to be more crowded because they border some of the area's most popular resorts.

How to Access The Beach
There is a road dedicated to Winding Bay located just off Meridian Highway.

Amenities and Ambiance

The long arching beach is protected from the main road by a dense collection of trees, though anyone coming to Winding Bay will see plenty of villas lining the sand. Additionally, because of the villas, Winding Bay Beach does have the potential of becoming crowded, though on most days you will have plenty of space.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. Happily, the off-shore waters are of good snorkeling quality, so bring your equipment if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface.

If you find that you prefer sunny days which offer those who visit an idyllic enclave, then maybe head on over to Winding Bay Beach; it is tucked away within a much quieter section of the region.
