Home to the largest marina in the Caribbean and an important ferry launch, Fajardo is a place where people are always coming and going, and they usually do it by sea.  Those who decide to stay awhile will quickly discover that the town consists of one of the most important nature reserves on the entire island of Puerto Rico, several beaches that are great snorkeling spots, and even a casino.

Beaches

Seven Seas Beach

There are a large number of beaches to consider in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of the beaches, for people who are so inclined. Click on the beach names to get additional information about that section of the coast.

One beach where snorkeling is an option is Playa Sardinera. Playa Sardinera is set just off Carretera Cabezas de San Juan. Follor Carr 697 north until you reach the beach, and turn left to access the parking lot.

Another alternative for beach-goers to consider is Las Croabas Beach. The beaches of Las Croabas are narrower than other beaches in Puerto Rico, and comprised mainly of fragments of igneous rock that washes ashore from the outlying reef.

Playa Laguna Aguas Prietas: After miles of forestry, Playa Laguna Aguas Prietas appears as a clearing along the north coast of Puerto Rico. This locale is perfect for visitors who want to enjoy quiet and seclusion.

Luckily, the area has quite a few other beaches to choose from in and around the area. Navigate here to see our page concerning beaches for Fajardo.
