Beaches in Fajardo

In truth, Fajardo is not always visited for its beaches alone, but there are several in town that are more than worth the visit.  These beaches feature calm waves thanks to their location in a natural bay, clean shores backed by tropical palms, and on-shore facilities that include barbecue pits, volleyball nets, and bathrooms.

Which Beaches Are Available?

There are an abundance of beaches to visit in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of the beaches, for vacationers who enjoy the underwater scene. You can click on the beach names for a detailed review of that beach.

Seven Seas Beach

Playa Laguna Aguas Prietas: Backed by thick forest, Playa Laguna Aguas Prietas is a short stretch of tan sand leading up to turquoise waters. Patches of coral exist just off the shore, great for snorkelers who'd like to explore local marine life.

A second option that beach-goers can consider is Seven Seas Beach. Seven Seas Beach is located off Carretera Cabezas de San Juan.

Playa Colora: Head left from Seven Seas Beach where you will find a path at a crop of rocks. At low tide you can walk along the shore where you will eventually reach the beach, but during high tide you'll have to wade through the magroves and take the trail to the right.

The chart right below summarizes some details regarding the beaches that you can find in and around the area.
