In truth, Fajardo is not always visited for its beaches alone, but there are several in town that are more than worth the visit. These beaches feature calm waves thanks to their location in a natural bay, clean shores backed by tropical palms, and on-shore facilities that include barbecue pits, volleyball nets, and bathrooms.
You'll find a large number of beaches to enjoy in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of the beaches, if some of the people in your group enjoy the underwater scene. Click on the name of each beach for a detailed guide to that particular location.
Playa Laguna Aguas Prietas: Crude dirt roads snake through the forest to the shore of Playa Laguna Aguas Prietas.
Another option that beach-goers can consider is Seven Seas Beach. Seven Seas Beach is located off Carretera Cabezas de San Juan.
Playa Colora: Large black rocks flank the beach which helps to keep it protected from sight and some of the reason so few people know about. The view from the orange and tan shore is of the Fajardo Lighthouse.
