Playa Sardinera

Playa Sardinera is a balnierio in Dorado on the north coast of Puerto Rico. The beach has a roped off area for swimming, which protects visitors from the abundance of boats entering and exiting the harbor. Sardinera is open Wednesday through Sunday and on holidays.

Positioned toward the northeastern outskirts of Fajardo, Playa Sardinera is on the East coast of Puerto Rico. You should consider dropping by whether or not you're staying particularly close by. The beaches found throughout Puerto Rico tend to be somewhat quiet, but Playa Sardinera stands out as a pleasant exception to this rule.

How to Access The Beach
Playa Sardinera is set just off Carretera Cabezas de San Juan. Follor Carr 697 north until you reach the beach, and turn left to access the parking lot.

Amenities and Ambiance

The harbor at Playa Sardinera keeps the sea and the shore littered with fishing and sailing boats of all sorts. Under the docked boats is dark, desert colored sand, and cloudy green waters.

At this beach, you'll find showers, picnic tables, and restrooms, meaning beachgoers can plan on spending quite a bit of time here.

The water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some gear if you want to see what lies beneath the surface.

Playa Sardinera as well as its offering of amenities and services happens to be found within a tourist hotspot. If you would rather stay free of busy-beaches and crowded shores, it is a good reason to make plans to visit to beat all the other tourists, maybe showing up earlier in the day. If you come later, you possibly run the risk of all those comforts becoming overwhelmed.
