Featuring the history of the area's maritime history, the Admiral House welcomes any visitor interested in naval, British, colonial, or just general history. Visitors will gain an insight as to the importance of the dockyard for Antigua as well as how similar dockyards shaped the Caribbean as a whole.
As visitors explore the museum, they will come across artifacts that all have a story to tell, including some personal possessions of Admiral Horatio Nelson, one of the most influential Naval officers in British history, and namesake of the Dockyard.
The museum is actually the historic house of Admiral Nelson, and the exhibits will tkae you throughout the two floors.

Admiral House guests will be able to enjoy one or two recreational opportunities like working on their golf game and doing some beach-going within traveling distance. Guests who will enjoy trying out their ability on the green, can do so at the closest option, which is Jolly Harbour Golf Course. Many days can also be planned at Galleon Beach, the most close-by beach. Also, your group will have a chance to encounter a couple other beach and golf options in the surrounding area. Visitors will encounter additional indoor places to visit in this general vicinity. There are a couple of attractions -Dockyard Museum and Nelson's Dockyard National Park- which are both situated within a couple miles of the museum.
While it cannot hurt to call ahead, the museum is generally open throughout the entire day.
