Nelson's Dockyard National Park

Nelson's Dackyard is more than just a national park. It is also is a historical site and commercial center that attracts visitors from around the world, who spend time exploring the many museums, forts, and ruins along with boutiques, small cafes, and gift shops. For a peaceful afternoon, take some time to walk around the marina and enjoy sun, the water and the boats.

Nelson's Dockyard is the only Georgian Dockyard in the world. It features a collection of historical attractions including the Clarence House, Shirley Heights, and Dow's Hill Interpretation Center. The Dockyard is sprinkled with small shops, cafes, and other spots that will enhance your visit.

There are many dining options to select from in the area around the park. The nearest place to eat to Nelson's Dockyard National Park is Mainbrace Pub, which has a menu full of British meals. The eatery is a small ways away, but distant enough that you will probably want to make arrangements for employing a viable method of transportation to get there. Wardroom Restaurant and Caribbean Taste Restaurant offer additional nearby lunch and dinner possibilities. At Caribbean Taste Restaurant you and your companions should be sure to try a bite of Caribbean food and experience the culture of Antigua.

Nearby Attractions

Vacationers with an interest in visiting two parks, make the trip to Monk's Hill Park, situated 1.8 miles away from Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There are a couple other activities nearby, including Fort Berkeley, which is within traveling range in English Harbour. Also consider heading to Carpenters Rock Trail, which is another attraction in the area.
