Located on the northwest coast of Nelson's Dockyard National Park, Pigeon's Beach is a welcomed mix of natural beach and an easy-to-access beach. Visitors will be able to lay out in the sand, swim in the clam waters, or simply stay for a while and watch the maritime traffic as it heads to Falmouth Harbor.
Positioned in Falmouth Harbour, Pigeon's Beach is on the South edge of Antigua. You might want even if you aren't staying nearby. At Pigeon's Beach, you'll have the best of both worlds: plenty to see and do nearby, but less crowds and noise than at other beaches.
Getting to Pigeon Beach is easy. Simply take Dockyard Drive south into the National Park. Once in the park, take the first turn west that you can (any sooner and you'll drive off the island and into the harbor). That road will take you to Pigeon Beach.
With the many tropical trees lining the beach, it is not hard to find shade, though heading a little closer to the water will allow you to grab all the sun you want. In addition to swimming, the calm water that can be found at the beach also make it a popular spot for kayakers to being their journey, so you will likely see some of them.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, but you may be able to find facilities at a nearby business.
Since Pigeon's Beach can be found within an area that sees many visitors, you'll want to plan accordingly.
The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the South coast of Antigua; this area boasts other attractions such as, which is only a short distance away, so tourists could take a cab or probably walk to this attraction.
If you want to mix some cultural exploration with your trip to the beach, you should plan a trip to Admiral House. This museum is located three quarters of a mile to the east, so it could be a welcomed alternative to hot afternoon activities.

Not far away you'll find Falmouth Harbour, a town which is an area with plenty to do, but yet isn't overcrowded.
The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, it depends mainly on when you visit, and how full nearby hotel rooms are. There are not many large hotels nearby, but it's sometimes enjoyed by visitors from the few small lodgings in the area.

When you're starving for a midday meal, you'll have some great cuisine to choose from, so you won't have to wander too far from these sands. One of the closest restaurants is. You'll have the option of walking or taking a cab as it's only a short distance away.
