Pigeon's Beach

Located on the northwest coast of Nelson's Dockyard National Park, Pigeon's Beach is a welcomed mix of natural beach and an easy-to-access beach. Visitors will be able to lay out in the sand, swim in the clam waters, or simply stay for a while and watch the maritime traffic as it heads to Falmouth Harbor.

Located on the southern outskirts of Falmouth Harbour, Pigeon's Beach is on the South coast of Antigua. You might want even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Those of you who want the best of both worlds——a sense of seclusion, but the option for activity—— may really like a visit to Pigeon's Beach. Generally, it's not an overly popular part of the coast, but it's not quiet or boring either.

How to Access The Beach
Getting to Pigeon Beach is easy. Simply take Dockyard Drive south into the National Park. Once in the park, take the first turn west that you can (any sooner and you'll drive off the island and into the harbor). That road will take you to Pigeon Beach.

Amenities and Ambiance

With the many tropical trees lining the beach, it is not hard to find shade, though heading a little closer to the water will allow you to grab all the sun you want. In addition to swimming, the calm water that can be found at the beach also make it a popular spot for kayakers to being their journey, so you will likely see some of them.

Please note that public restrooms are not available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.

Since Pigeon's Beach is of course located inside an area that sees many visitors, many try to show up early.
