Fort de France Buses

If you're staying in Fort de France, your chances of taking the bus are much better than other locations on the island.

No matter where you stay, however, public buses are limited and erratic, with no set schedules to hold on to.  What you can do as a tourist is be on the look out for the bus as you are walking around town doing some sightseeing, and if you happen to encounter one, flag it down for a ride.

You'll be able to recognize these buses on the street because the license plate will read “TC” at the start, which stands for Taxi Collectif.  They start traveling around town early in the morning, and usually complete their day at around 6:00 p.m.
