Of the more than 40 scuba dive centers that occupy the island of Martinique, at least two of them are located in Fort de France. It is at these locations that newbies can get their first taste of what the sport is like, and experienced divers can advance their training. Near daily guided dives will take guests out to explore the world that lies beneath the sea which is at once mysterious and wondrous.
There are two dive operators and a small number of interesting dive sites to choose from.
If you'd like to go diving, you might want to check with Attitude Plongée. Specializing in "Baptisms," or trips for first time scuba divers, Attitude Plongee is one of the more reasonably priced diver operations in the area. They are located within Pointe du Bout, 3.5 mi. South-Southeast of central Fort de France.
Another good option is Plongée Passion. This scuba diving club is a family-friendly organization ready to train and offer dive excursions to those who are just as mesmerized by the beauties that lie beneath the surface of the seas surrounding Martinique. You can reach them at (059) 668-7178.
