Frigate Bay is an interesting destination on the island of St. Kitts.  At first glance, it is home of “The Strip” the most popular resort, dining, and nightlife area on the island.  If you look closer, however, there are less superficial things to be discovered about this stunning peninsular town.

Beaches

Frigate Bay South

You'll discover several beaches to choose from in and around the area. Snorkeling is available at some locations, if some of the people in your group enjoy the underwater scene. You can click on the name of the beach to get additional information concerning that section of the coast.

If you want to go snorkeling, a location offering that option is Frigate Bay South. The Frigate Bay area is a narrow stretch of St. Kitts, with separate beaches facing north and south. The south side is frequented by locals and visitors seeking a laid-back atmosphere, volleyball, swimming and snorkeling in the calm waters of the Caribbean.

A second alternative for beach-goers to consider is Frigate Bay North. Take Pond Rd east from Basseterre. Take a right at the first roundabout.

Half Moon Bay: Accessing the beach can be difficult as it is surrounded by the Royal St Kitts Golf Course, but it's possible by heading south along the coast from nearby Conaree, or by going north on the road that runs alongside the Marriott.
