Frigate Bay is an interesting destination on the island of St. Kitts.  At first glance, it is home of “The Strip” the most popular resort, dining, and nightlife area on the island.  If you look closer, however, there are less superficial things to be discovered about this stunning peninsular town.

Frigate Bay South

You will discover a large selection of beaches to consider in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of the beaches, if some of the people in your group enjoy the underwater scene. Just click on the beach names to get additional information about that particular stretch of sand.

A beach that offers snorkeling is Frigate Bay South. A geographical wonder, Frigate Bay is divided into two sections that straddle that Atlantic and Caribbean. North Frigate Bay is located on the Atlantic and has rough, turbulent waters.

Another location to consider is Frigate Bay North. Curving gently along the peninsula's coast, Frigate Bay North is flanked on either side by rock formations, the most impressive of which being on the southern end. The sand on the Atlantic side is fine and golden in front of the resorts and condominiums, and the ocean views are spectacular.

Half Moon Bay: On the Atlantic side of the island, where the waters are at their roughest, Half Moon Bay curves inland enough to mitigate some of the more severe waves, creating swimming conditions superior to some nearby spots.

Frigate Bay and the surrounding areas have a full range of beaches. For more in-depth coverage of this topic, go to this page.
