Ferries serves as an important mode of transportation, allowing locals and visitors to travel between St. Kitts and her sister island of Nevis. There are four different services offered, one of which is a car barge. The other three are fast ferries that operate out of Basseterre.
The drive between Frigate Bay and Basseterre lasts about 15 minutes. That's all it takes to get to the ferry terminal, which will in turn have you stepping foot on Nevis soil in another 45 minutes. Tickets cost less than $30(USD) each way depending on which ferry you take and whether or not you're transporting a car with you.
