How to Reach Georgetown by Airplane

As the home of the international airport, flying to George Town is easy

Home to Seven Mile Beach, the highest population of local residents, and all of the top resorts on Grand Cayman, George Town is also the location of the country's major international airport.  Around 55 international flights land here each week bringing visitors to the vacation getaway of a lifetime.

Roberts International

Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) is a mere five minutes from Dowtown Georgetown, and within easy reach of all of the area's most popular tourist destinations including Seven Mile Beach and the cruise ship terminal.  This makes it easy for cruise ship passengers hoping to get in a quick day trip to Cayman Brac or Little Cayman to make it happen.

The airport is small compared to some major hubs in the region, with one runway and one terminal, but expansion project are in the works.  For now, it is suited to handle the amount of scheduled air traffic that arrives on the island each day – though getting through Customs, Immigrations, and Security can be time consuming.
