Buses in Georgetown

Georgetown is where all of the island's buses originate

Georgetown operates as the hub of public transportation on Grand Cayman.  All of the local bus routes begin their journey each morning from the local bus terminal, then make the rounds to various settlements throughout the island.

Bus Routes

The bus terminal is located near the library on Edward Street, right in the center of town, making it the perfect jumping off point for tourists who will be spending their time exploring the island.  You can get almost anywhere on the island if you plan your trip correctly, and do it spending only between $1.25 and $5(USD) a trip.  Buses run every day of the week except for Sunday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

The buses are color coordinated to their routes with the Green Line going to Rankins Plaza, the Orange Line going to North Beach, the Purple Line going to East End, and the Red Line going to West End.  Keep in mind that these buses are actually mini buses and only hold 12 passengers at once.  If the bus is full, it will not stop to squeeze in more passengers.
