As the island's top resort destination, Gosier makes it its business to keep its visitors satisfied.  This is why this area has some of the most diverse attractions available within easy access, from picturesque beaches to cultural landmarks.

Beaches

A local beach with snorkeling is Ilet du Gosier. Vacationers can reach the gorgeous beach of Illet du Gosier by way of water watercraft from Gosier.

Another good option for snorkelers is Creole Beach. There is a water sports center on-site, so Creole Beach's visitors can enjoy an array of activities in and on the surf, as well as traditional swimming and sunbathing. The Creole Beach Hotel bar provides tasty drinks to cool guests down on hot days.

Callinago Beach: Callinago Beach is a small crescent-shaped beach backed by the Callinago Hotel. Palm trees line the beach and proved a lush backdrop of shade.

Landmark Attractions

A landmark that often intrigues visitors is Musee du Costume et Tradition. It is located in the heart of Gosier. Focusing on the dress and clothing worn by the different segments of society throughout Guadeloupe's history. This side by side comparison will give visitors an interesting insight into the relations between classes and races.

A second choice is The Bitasyon. It's a museum in the center of Gosier. Opened in October of 2008 this museum is all about the history of royalty and throughout guests will be treated to exhibits of royal clothing throughout antiquity, plus scenes of life in the first half of the 20th century.

Fort Fleur D'Epee A Musee: Fort Fleur D'Epee was built in the 18th century by the French to protect the Gran Cul de Sac Marin. Over its history it was taken by the British and in 1794 reclaimed by the French.

Waterfalls

Even though most travelers come for the beautiful water and coastline, those aren't the only way to enjoy the area's natural wonders. The one example is Moreau Falls. It is located 9.1 mi. South West of central Gosier.

Parks

Travelers can also spend some time in the local park nearby.

Place de la Victoire is situated in downtown Pointe A Pitre, 3.5 mi. Northwest of central Gosier. The place where a guillotine stood during the French revolution, this square was later named Victory Square and is now a place for a nice stroll as well as a common gathering place.

A second popular choice in this category is Les Jardins de Valombreuse. The main attraction here is the garden, however, birding is popular and there is also a water park for kids and an equestrian center on site. You won't want to miss a chance to take the 90 minute tour for even more information about the grounds.

Zoos and Aquariums

If the thought of spending some time with interesting sea life sounds like fun, you should visit Aquarium de la Guadeloupe. One of the best rated French aquariums, visitors at the Aquarium de la Guadeloupe have the chance to experience more than 60 species of tropical fish. Snorkeling tours are even available with members of the staff.
