After a successful kite school ran on another part of the island, Fun Kite Academy has now opened for tourists to learn how to participate in this much loved sport.
The instructors at the Fun Kite Academy will give you a full introduction on the sport, including stance, control, practice on the water and tricks. The groups are small so you will get some individualized attention on how to get better and feel more comfortable on the water. If you have never been on a Kite before, the Fun Kite Academy will help you in developing your skills and have you flying like a pro.
The Academy offers single, double, and group rates for kite instructions. The single and double also gives participants access to the Club Med restaurant for lunch at a discounted rate.
If you know how to Kite and you just want to rent equipment, the Academy offers 1 hour, 3 hour, and week long rentals that include all the essentials for the perfect Kite experience. If you brought your Kite, the Academy also rents out harnesses, shoes, jackets and helmets.
This kite surfing school utilizes a Quicksilver 50 horsepower Honda 4 stroke motor boat stocked with equipment such as winged kites, boards, helmets, and life vests. Some introduction to the sport will be done on the beach, but after the instructors will take students out on the water for a fun filled day.
Fun Kite is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the week, but closed on Saturday. During school holidays, Fun Kite is open all 7 days of the week.
In order to ensure proper training, Fun Kite only allows two to three students per instructor.
