Positioned in the vicinity of Pointe A Pitre, in the same general area as Gosier, Petite Havre is on the South coast of Grande-Terre. You should consider stopping by regardless of whether you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Not looking forward to staking out a spot at a busy beach? All the more reason you should find a beach that isn't packed full of hotel guests; relatively untouched parts of the coast like Petite Havre might not be typical "beach scenes", but are nice and private.
If you're traveling from Pointe-a-Pitre, take the road to Saint Francois and drive through Mare Gaillard following the main road. When you reach Plage du Petit Havre, take a right, then two immediate rights after that.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun.
