A beautiful sunny beach with sand that shimmers almost as much as the water, Tippy's Beach is close enough to development to have some amenities, but far enough away that you can expect a bit more privacy.

Located on the island of Eleuthera, Tippy's Beach is on the East-Southeast coast of the island, You might think about stopping by even if you aren't staying in the immediate vicinity. You will typically find plenty of places to set up shop, since the surrounding region and the beach itself are not stuffed with visitors.

Amenities and Ambiance

Like much of Eleuthera Island, the beach is protected by a thick wall of trees, offering a good deal of privacy. And while it is just down the way from some popular resorts, Tippy's Beach is much less crowded, despite its convenient location.

There is also a great restaurant right on-site if you're interested; many find it the perfect, convenient solution for lunch. Vacationers will find plenty of places in the Bahamas serving up delicious local cuisine, but some meals are best enjoyed spontaneously, in a truly casual setting. Some visitors, in fact, find it more convenient and relaxing to eat on near the beach than in another restaurant. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.
