The swank resort area of Grace Bay came to be such a sought after destination originally due to the popularity of Grace Bay Beach. It is, in fact, one of the best loved beaches in the island chain, with its fine, soft sand and crystalline waters. Lining the shores these days are a number of resorts which have their own beach chairs and watersports services in the sand.
There are a large number of beaches to consider in and around the area. Snorkeling is an option at some of these beaches, if some members of your party enjoy this relaxing pastime. You can click on each beach name for detailed information about that part of the coast.
If you are wanting to snorkel, a beach where that is an option is The Bight Beach. A popular beach for those outside Grace Bay, the Bight Beach is known for it eclectic mix of secluded and developed area. Some parts of Bight Beach has the sand full of rocks, while others have the sand full of beach chairs.
A second alternative worth considering is Turtle Tail Beach. Turtle Tail beach is actually a collection of smaller beaches separated by small portions of vegetation. Luckily, the water is so shallow that when you come across these vegetation patches you will have no problem simply walking around them.
Blue Haven Beach: Leeward Beach offers visitors nearly seven miles of uninterrupted sand to explore. For the most part, the sand is clean, though there are some patches where rocks, wire, and other sharp objects can be found.
