The Edge

Just steps from the beach it is easy to see why this casual restaurant is called The Edge. Located at Jenny's Place it is an open air restaurant that is available for guests of Jenny's Place for lunch and dinner.

Food

The Edge specializes in using local ingredients with a twist to create what they call "Fun food." Grilled fish and chicken, burgers are on the menu for lunch, with your choice of a fries or a wedge salad on the side. They also have a lobster-fruit salad available when lobster is in season.

If you're planning on hanging out to watch the sunset, finger foods and lite snacks like chicken wings, crab stuffed mushrooms or peppers, deep-fried goat cheese with a local fruit sauce, smoked fish, pesto cheesecake,bacon-wrapped plantain callaloo toast, crab toasts, and soups are the perfect choice.

When you're hungry for more, their typical dinner entrees include grilled fish, pork with rum and molasses, chicken breasts stuffed with callaloo and served with cruise sauce, chicken alfredo, steak with brandy peppercorn sauce, and Thai coconut curry. All entrees come with a medley of fresh vegetables and your choice of potatoes or rice.

Finally, for dessert you'll find chocolate mousse souffle cake served with whipped cream, classic New York cheesecake with fresh local fruit, lemon Bavarian cream, tiramisu, and buzz box which is a mocha buttercream cake served with whipped cream.

The Edge is a bar and grill where they proudly serve their take on Caribbean cuisine. Most guests consider the level of formality and service here to be very casual. The option to eat here is on the table during both dinner and lunch, so make time to stop by.

Ambiance

Bright blue umbrellas shield guests from the sun as they relax in comfy patio-style furniture while enjoying a meal. There are seven tables, though larger parties can be accommodated with advanced notice. In addition to tables they have a bench just above the beach and gentle surf, and a few sunloungers and deck chairs so guests can kick back and relax. They even offer changing rooms and a semi-private shower for guests who wish the freshen up after coming right off the beach.

This restaurant is part of Jenny's Place, which is located toward the northeastern outskirts of Grand Anse, in the vicinity of St. George's.
