There's plenty to do at Grand Anse Beach from water skiing to scuba diving. Vendors along the beach rent water sports equipment and sell coral jewelry, t-shirts, and hand-made crafts.

Located near the center of Grand Anse, this beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. You should consider dropping by even if you aren't staying particularly close by. If you can't wait to escape the stresses of city life, you'll appreciate that most of Grenada's beaches are quite calm and serene. Then again, some vacationers seek out the loudest and the most active areas, and are better suited for one of the few lively beaches, like Grand Anse Beach.

How to Access The Beach
Grand Anse Beach is easily accessed off Falledge Road, via a well paved road the leads to Garfield's Beach Bar.

Amenities and Ambiance

Situated on the southwestern side of Grenada, travelers will find beautiful Grand Anse Beach. Two miles of soft white sand line the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, where the surf is gentle and visibility is excellent. Palm and sea grape trees shade the edge of the beach during peak sun hours.

Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. There are a lot of dining experiences to be enjoyed on Grenada, but dining at the beach can be a particularly memorable one. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Or, you could find just what you need from cafes and street vendors en route to the beach.

The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. You might also have the option to order some food from one of the local vendors who set up shop at the beach.

Restrooms are available at Grand Anse Beach. You will also have access to chairs and umbrellas here, so visitors seeking a relaxing spot in the shade will not go leave unhappy. You will find the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you are looking to do some underwater exploration. Grand Anse Beach is popular among tourists and locals, so there are always plenty of people around. Local vendors set up on the beach and tourists stream from the luxury resorts located on the beach's edge.

Needless to say, Grand Anse Beach isn't the only beach worth visitng on Grenada.

If the active mood at Grand Anse Beach has you wanting more of the same, think about also visiting Quarantine Point Beach, another destination with a good amount of excitement. You'll find it a mile to the west. If you were hoping to find a tranquil beach scene with few crowds, you might find what you want at Gouyave Beach. You'll find it just a cab ride away.

Travelers may also want to consider Morne Rouge Beach, which is located within a short distance. You can find Morne Rouge Beach situated just south of Grand Anse.
