There's plenty to do at Grand Anse Beach from water skiing to scuba diving. Vendors along the beach rent water sports equipment and sell coral jewelry, t-shirts, and hand-made crafts.

Located near the middle of Grand Anse, this beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. You might want even if you are not staying particularly close by. If you can't wait to escape the stresses of city life, you'll appreciate that Grenada has plenty of secluded beaches. This atmosphere is not for everyone, though. If you seek a fun and active spot, you're better off visiting Grand Anse Beach, one of the few beaches that draws a significant crowd.

How to Access The Beach

Grand Anse Beach is easily accessed off Falledge Road, via a well paved road the leads to Garfield's Beach Bar.

Situated on the southwestern side of Grenada, travelers will find beautiful Grand Anse Beach. Two miles of soft white sand line the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, where the surf is gentle and visibility is excellent. Palm and sea grape trees shade the edge of the beach during peak sun hours.

Also, you have the option of trying the restaurant located right on Grand Anse Beach. There are so many dining experiences that vacationers can enjoy on Grenada, but eating at the beach can be a particularly memorable one. So, you may wish to consider getting pre-packed lunches from your hotel if they offer them. Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.

There is also a snack bar here. Sometimes, visitors will be able to order lunch from one of the mobile vendors who operate at or near this spot.

Travelers can take advantage of the available picnic tables, so you can save your picnic lunch from the sand.

Grand Anse Beach does have public restrooms for your convenience. You'll also find umbrellas and chairs here, so guests hoping for some respite from the sun will get their wish. You'll find the waters off-shore to be fit for snorkeling, so bring along some equipment if you want to see the underwater world. Grand Anse Beach is popular among tourists and locals, so there are always plenty of people around. Local vendors set up on the beach and tourists stream from the luxury resorts located on the beach's edge.

Travelers searching for the perfect beach will have other options if Grand Anse Beach doesn't suit their tastes.

You might also enjoy Quarantine Point Beach, where there's usually lots of activity. It is located a mile to the west. If it's a bit of peace and quiet you're after, Gouyave Beach is a location which doesn't see as many crowds. You'll find it within cab range of the beach.
