With 50 miles of beaches snaking around the island, Grand Bahama has the most beaches of any of the islands in the chain. They range from secluded stretches of sand near the Lucayan National Park, to activity beaches where snorkeling, windsurfing, and kayaking are popular. These beaches are easily found along the northwest coast.
You will discover a large number of beaches to visit on the island. Regardless of whether you prefer people watching, or you'd rather find a more secluded spot, you're likely to find what you want. You can click on individual beach names for more information concerning that beach.
Gold Rock Beach: If you're looking for that perfect postcard photo from the Bahamas, this may be the spot to get it, though you should avoid coming at high tide. It costs $5 to enter the national park.
Another alternative worth considering is Coral Beach. Coral Beach is neither the most popular beach on the island, nor is it completed deserted either. Guests come to enjoy the clean environment and calm shores.
Fortune Beach: The beach receives its name from an old shipwreck upon which millions of dollars of valuables were found. It's an isolated beach with few visitors for the moment, but development is currently taking place.
