Garden of the Groves is a 12 acres garden and park dedicated to the preservation of local Bahamian flora. Certified as a Wildlife Habitat as the U.S. Wildlife Federation, you can see butterflies, birds, and bugs throughout the property as well as some breathtaking floral displays.
Garden of the Groves features lush tropical landscaping with trees and flowers from the Bahamas as well as elsewhere around the world. Some of the special details of the property include a wedding chapel which can actually be booked for weddings, a labyrinth for meditation and prayer, limestone boulders, a cafe, and a gift shop. To explore the entire property you will need approximately three hours.
Several times a day beginning at 10:00 a.m., tours of the Gardens are available. Tours last for one hour and take guests through the property and discuss on the local flora and fauna.
Situated in Garden of the Groves, Garden of the Groves always welcomes local customers and travelers who are rooming in this neighborhood or nearby. The Gardens are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Entry into the gardens costs $15(USD) for adults and $10(USD) for children 12 and under. You can also become a Member of the Garden for a much larger price tag, but will be privy to free entry and free tours at all times.
