A small beach with stunning white sand and crystal clear waters, this is one of the most hidden and secluded beaches on the island, but perhaps not for long. In 2014, it was listed as one of the Best Secret Beaches on Earth by Travel + Leisure Magazine.

Set in Saint Martin, Happy Bay is on the South edge of the island of St. Martin and Sint Maarten. You might think about stopping by whether or not you're staying in the immediate vicinity. Happy Bay is a distinguishable relaxation spot because it's one of the best spots for escaping the hustle of St. Martin's urban areas. Many of the other beaches you'll come across in St. Martin may have the same warm sand and calming breezes as Happy Bay, but tend to be more crowded since they're located by some of the most popular tourist areas in town.

How to Access The Beach
This beach is on the northern, quieter end of St. Martin. It requires a 15 minute hike from the road, Rue Happy Bay.

Amenities and Ambiance

Trees line this private island oasis, providing relief from the bright sunlight. There is not likely to be a crowd here. Nudity is not officially allowed on this beach, but it is tolerated.

There is also a snack bar here. If available, you could also buy food from one of the local vendors who typically set up on this shoreline.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. Fortunately, lounging chairs will be offered here for visitors seeking a break from the hot sun.

Bear in mind that Happy Bay's immediate surroundings are visited by quite a number of tourists, meaning you may find quite a few people vying for the use of the same facilities.
