Grand Case Car Rentals

Rent a car for a bit of sightseeing around Grand Case

Grand Case is one of three towns on the island where tourists report being able to get around on foot with ease.  Still, renting a car is a necessity for some and a luxury worth seeking out for others.  It certainly makes sightseeing easier, and gives visitors the freedom to go where they want, when they want, without relying on someone else to do the driving.

Renting a Car

Grand Case makes it pretty easy for foreigners to rent a car.  You have to be over the age of 25 and have an international driver's license.  If you meet those two requirements and you are also able to pay, you shouldn't encounter any problem renting a car.  If you decide not to rent directly from the airport or at the docks when you arrive, most agencies will bring the vehicle to you at your hotel, or offer a shuttle service nd bring you to their location to fill out the rental agreement and provide payment information.

The Cost of Renting a Car

Renting a car in Grand Case is extremely affordable, at only around $30(USD) a day for the basic four-door sedan with no extras.  If you're traveling with a small group you can usually get away with this type of vehicle because road conditions are good.  The larger the vehicle and the more amenities you request, however, the bigger the increase in daily price.  Most agencies in the area offer around the same price, so if you don't like the idea of shopping around to compare costs, you really don't have to do so.

Driving in Grand Case

The main road in Grand Case is Boulevard de Grand Case, which runs parallel to the beach.  The two other roads that run through town are narrow and lined with parked cars up against the side walk, so it is always advisable to drive slowly and with caution to avoid an accident.  Traffic moves on the right side of the road like in the United States, and seat belts and the appropriate child safety seats are required.  Road conditions are generally good. There is one gas station along the main road which accepts cash only.
