The west coast of Grand Cayman, which is where the famed Seven Mile Beach is located, is known for its gorgeous beaches filled with soft sand, backed not by palms but by pines, and normally calm waters.  Around the rest of the island, there are other smaller beaches that spot the landscape and offer a more private setting without lacking the high quality of their more popular counterpart.

Which Beaches Are Available?

There are an abundance of beaches to consider visiting on the island. Regardless of whether you prefer people watching, or you prefer a quieter spot, you can find a beach that fits your preferences. You can click on the beach names to read a detailed article concerning that beach.

Rum Point

Water Cay: Water Cay is often accessed by boat, docking along the sandbar. You can also drive here easily, up Rum Point Drive, then left at Water Cay Road.

Another option that beach-goers can consider is Smith's Cove. The turquoise waters of Smith's Cove are protected by coral reefs and limestone formations. The sea is very clear and a variety of sea life can easily be spotted beneath the gentle waves.

Frank Sound Beach: This is a naturally pretty beach, with mangroves and driftwood and crooked palm trees. Its a popular spot for fly fishing.
