Beaches on Grand Cayman

The west coast of Grand Cayman, which is where the famed Seven Mile Beach is located, is known for its gorgeous beaches filled with soft sand, backed not by palms but by pines, and normally calm waters.  Around the rest of the island, there are other smaller beaches that spot the landscape and offer a more private setting without lacking the high quality of their more popular counterpart.

Which Beaches Are Available?

There are a large number of beaches to visit on the island. Whether you prefer people watching, or you prefer a quieter spot, you're likely to find what you want. Click on the beach names to read a detailed article concerning that particular stretch of sand.

Rum Point

Water Cay: With unspoiled white sands, a sandbar and beautiful paths to tour the cape, this is a lovely beach locale.

Another alternative to consider is Smith's Cove. Located in George Town's southern suburbs, public access here is very easy. Head south on S Church Street from George Town and the beach will be on your right after you pass Thompson Drive.

Frank Sound Beach: You'll find this beach in southeast Grand Cayman at the intersection of Bodden Town Road and aptly named Frank Sound Road. Head east past the intersection a little ways and park along the road.

Review the chart below for a list of beaches that you'll find on the island.
