The west coast of Grand Cayman, which is where the famed Seven Mile Beach is located, is known for its gorgeous beaches filled with soft sand, backed not by palms but by pines, and normally calm waters. Around the rest of the island, there are other smaller beaches that spot the landscape and offer a more private setting without lacking the high quality of their more popular counterpart.
You will find several beaches to choose from on the island. Whether you prefer being around other people, or you'd rather have more of the beach to yourself, you should be able to find just the right beach. Water Cay: Water Cay is on a little jutting cape on Grand Cayman, providing an incredible panoramic view of the endless Caribbean sea.
A second alternative for beach-goers to consider is Smith's Cove. Located in George Town's southern suburbs, public access here is very easy. Head south on S Church Street from George Town and the beach will be on your right after you pass Thompson Drive.
Frank Sound Beach: This is a naturally pretty beach, with mangroves and driftwood and crooked palm trees. Its a popular spot for fly fishing.
