The west coast of Grand Cayman, which is where the famed Seven Mile Beach is located, is known for its gorgeous beaches filled with soft sand, backed not by palms but by pines, and normally calm waters.  Around the rest of the island, there are other smaller beaches that spot the landscape and offer a more private setting without lacking the high quality of their more popular counterpart.

Which Beaches Are Available?

You will find a large selection of beaches to enjoy on the island. Whether you prefer people watching, or you prefer having more of the sand to yourself, you should be able to find just the right beach. For a detailed review of one particular beach you can click on the names of the ones you would like to learn about

Rum Point

Water Cay: Water Cay is often accessed by boat, docking along the sandbar. You can also drive here easily, up Rum Point Drive, then left at Water Cay Road.

A second option to consider is Smith's Cove. Extraordinary snorkeling opportunities are available at Smith's Cove and trees line the small beach, providing large pockets of shade. It's sometimes populated with Cayman locals.

Frank Sound Beach: This is a naturally pretty beach, with mangroves and driftwood and crooked palm trees. Its a popular spot for fly fishing.
