Frank Sound Beach

This is a good spot to take a break if you're on your way from George Town to East End. It's a beautiful spot and there won't be a crowd.

Positioned near the middle of the island of Grand Cayman, 4.1 miles west of East End, Frank Sound Beach is on the East coast of the island, You should consider stopping by whether or not you are staying in the immediate vicinity. Frank Sound Beach stands out from other beaches because it's one of the best spots for escaping over-crowded hangouts in the town proper. Many of the other beaches you'll come across in the Cayman Islands may be just as beautiful, but are usually busier because they're right around the corner from the area's major hotels and resorts.

How to Access The Beach
You'll find this beach in southeast Grand Cayman at the intersection of Bodden Town Road and aptly named Frank Sound Road. Head east past the intersection a little ways and park along the road.

Amenities and Ambiance

This is a naturally pretty beach, with mangroves and driftwood and crooked palm trees. Its a popular spot for fly fishing.

Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot.

If you prefer sunny days which offer a serene experience, then you may want to try Frank Sound Beach; it is back in a more rural section of Grand Cayman.

This beach is positioned on the East coast of Grand Cayman. It is near East End Lighthouse Park, which is one of a number of popular spots in the area.

If you want to mix a little culture with your trip to the beach, you might want to consider visiting National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. This museum is located within reach of a taxi, giving beachgoers the chance to escape that hot midday sunshine.
