Everything you want in a relaxing day at the beach you can have here, unless you like crowds. It's popular but not busy on Grand Cayman's East End.

Located in Gun Bay, 1.9 miles northeast of East End, this beach is on the East coast of Grand Cayman. You should think about stopping by whether or not you are staying very close. There aren't many beaches in the Cayman Islands like Gun Bay Beach; it's well-equipped with nearby activity, but surprisingly, it's not constantly overrun with crowds. If you'd rather socialize than take a nap on a completely empty beach, dut don't want to be overwhelmed by crowds of hotel guests, Gun Bay Beach offers a good middle ground.

How to Access The Beach
This beach is all the way across the island from the airport and capitol, but it's worth visiting this side of the island for views of the water and great snorkeling sights.

Amenities and Ambiance

Gun Bay Beach has amazing views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea. The waters are shallow and calm, the sand along the shore is white and soft.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.

Gun Bay Beach offers those who visit an idyllic and peaceful environment, in part because the surrounding region is not heavily urbanized.
