Queen Elizabeth II herself was there on opening day of the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park in 1994, and since then the grounds have further developed. This spot is now a full-fledged tourist attraction featuring an abundance of flourishing flora and the Woodland Trail.

On the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Garden visitors will find the Floral Colour Garden, Heritage Garden, Orchids in the Park, Virtual Herbarium, a lake, the Woodland Trail, and a variety of animal life. Additionally, in an effort to save the world's most endangered iguana, the Cayman Islands government made over 200 acres of government land available to act as the Blue Iguana Nature Reserve. Although much of the land is actually unsuitable for the iguana, it is doing its part in upping the population.

Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park lies on the island of Grand Cayman, 2.0 miles south of Old Man Bay; it is seven miles (11 and a half kilometers) to the east-northeast of Bodden Town.
