Kaibo Beach Bar & Grill is a smart choice for travelers thinking about going to this part of Grand Cayman. If you're curious, Bodden Town is five and a half miles (eight and a half kilometers) to the south. Though one might say the overall focus is Caribbean-inspired cuisine, this local spot serves up an awful lot of barbecue and hamburgers. Originally erected in the 1970s to serve drinks to cruise ship passengers as they stopped to tour the area, Kaibo has expanded from a little shack to an almost elegant bar and grill while still retaining the unpretentious feel it began with. Waterfront dining on the patio is key to the great vibe they have. Stop by Tuesdays nights for live, local music.
Cracked Conch by the Sea is found in the western outskirts of West Bay. Fresh catches from and Caribbean panache are an outstanding combo at this crazy tasty restaurant. The Cracked Conch by the Sea definitely has an interesting menu! After all, how many restaurants will have turtle steak on the menu? Other than a few odd surprises like that, the restaurant offers some flavorful fare that run the gamut from hamburgers to pastas to seafood. Conch is one of the highlights on the menu and you can choose among a few variations of the dish. The Cracked Conch makes great use of the local resources for their ingredients from the freshly caught seafood to the spices, island rum and local fruits. Their Sunday brunch is popular with a number of popular selections. Bottom line - they have good eats!
The Lobster Pot Restaurant is situated in downtown Georgetown, in the heart of Georgetown. Fresh fish and Caribbean fare both describe the best dishes at this favorite place. The “Lobster Pot” method of preparing Conch Fritters is renowned around the world and their unique preparation of seafood dishes has won the restaurant appreciation as well. The menu of famous dishes includes Sesame Seared Yellow Fin Tuna, Red Snapper with Almonds, Lobsters, prawns, crabs and the Black Angus Beef. Seafood is Lobster Pot’s specialty. One can also spend a great evening with its quality Austrian wines like the Banana Daiquiri.
Set in Rum Point, close to Cayman Kai, Rum Point Restaurant is a viable choice worth considering if you are thinking about spending some time visiting this neighborhood. In case you're wondering, Bodden Town is six and a half miles (ten and a half kilometers) to the south. Ready for a great plate of food in an easy-going location? Give some thought to the relaxing set-up and menu at this place.
South Coast Bar & Grill is a viable option for vacationers thinking about going to this neighborhood. It's east-northeast of Bodden Town. Fabulously fresh fish and Caribbean flair get along famously at this relaxed eatery. Seafood definitely rules here, but other offerings such as steak, lamb chops, and pasta are available. Thursday nights the restaurant hosts all you can eat lobster. If you don't find something on the menu that you like, let your server know, and he will likely create a custom meal just for you. The specials change on a daily basis, but the most popular seems to be the lobster fiesta.
