The blowholes is a thin stretch of beach on Grand Cayman's less popular south shore. If you're looking for a beach trip with a more culturally distinct island experience, head to the more urban beaches near George Town.

Located on the island of Grand Cayman, 1.2 miles west of East End, You might want whether or not you're staying very close. There are advantages to visiting a beach that hasn't been "discovered" by thousands of tourists; less popular beaches like The Blowholes let you escape people-watchers and rowdy beachgoers.

How to Access The Beach

This beach is easy to find and access, just steps from Sea View Road, in south central Grand Cayman.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is tan, with seaweed and vegetation sprawled out on the sand. There is no development here and there's likely to be no one around. The water can be fairly rough, so be cautious when swimming.

Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

If you find that you favor sunny days that offer those who visit a calm place to escape, then you will want to try The Blowholes; it's found in a more rural part of Grand Cayman.
