The blowholes is a thin stretch of beach on Grand Cayman's less popular south shore. If you're looking for a beach trip with a more culturally distinct island experience, head to the more urban beaches near George Town.

Situated on the eastern edge of the island of Grand Cayman, 1.2 miles west of East End, You might want to drop by regardless of whether you're staying in the immediate vicinity. It's often said that The Blowholes is perfect for escaping the hustle of the Cayman Islands' urban areas. Most other beaches in the Cayman Islands may have the same pleasing, tropical setting as The Blowholes, but are usually busier since they're right in the thick of tourists' favorite hangouts.

How to Access The Beach
This beach is easy to find and access, just steps from Sea View Road, in south central Grand Cayman.

Amenities and Ambiance

The beach is tan, with seaweed and vegetation sprawled out on the sand. There is no development here and there's likely to be no one around. The water can be fairly rough, so be cautious when swimming.

Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location.

If you prefer sunny days that provide a calm enclave, then you will want to try The Blowholes; it's hidden away within a more natural section of the region.
