Water Cay is on a little jutting cape on Grand Cayman, providing an incredible panoramic view of the endless Caribbean sea.
Situated on Water Cay, in the same area as Cayman Kai, this beach is on the North West coast of Grand Cayman. You might want even if you aren't staying particularly close by. Water Cay may be one of the few active beaches in the Cayman Islands that's not constantly overrun with crowds. If you need more activity than you'll find on the Cayman Islands' quiet, secluded beaches, but don't want to fight the crowds every step of the way, Water Cay offers a good middle ground.
Water Cay is often accessed by boat, docking along the sandbar. You can also drive here easily, up Rum Point Drive, then left at Water Cay Road. It is quite a scenic drive.
With unspoiled white sands, a sandbar and beautiful paths to tour the cape, this is a lovely beach locale.
The snack bar here is the ultimate convenience if you need a cold drink, or something to hold you over until dinner. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also be able to get lunch from one of the local vendors who set up shop at the beach.
Unfortunately, restrooms will not be available here, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. These shores are secluded and quiet, creating the perfect atmosphere for serene sunbathing or peaceful romantic picnic. Vacationers who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of other parts of the Grand Caymans will love this sleepy shoreline.
If you happen to favor beach days which grant a quiet experience, then you may want to try Water Cay; it is tucked away in a more natural sector of Grand Cayman.
