This beach is frequented mainly by those staying at the Coconut Cove Hotel, and various other resorts and beach houses. The area is peaceful, and there is an interesting boating scene here.
Set along the northwestern outskirts of George Town, Coconut Cove Beach is on the West coast of Great Exuma. You might want whether or not you are staying in the vicinity. Travelers who prefer walking over driving to their next destination will find that Coconut Cove Beach is a good choice for them. More than likely, this beach is near many of the attractions you already plan to visit, since it isn't far from the city's major hubs.
Just up the road north of George Town, there are a couple of spots off the main road to pull your car over to the side, park, and follow the path to the beach.
Located in between the mainland and Stocking Island, the water remains clam, and the various shades of blue in the water are fantastic. Multiple boat docks ease out into the water from the shore here. Off-shore rock formations are another interesting feature.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.
Be mindful that the region in which Coconut Cove Beach is located is is a much-visited area, so plan accordingly.
The beach is wonderful, but the surrounding area has a lot to offer, too. Look for it on the West coast of Great Exuma. It's located near Emerald Reef Golf Course, which is just a cab ride away, and it is one attraction close-by.

Coconut Cove Beach is close to, so you can explore the city after your visit to the beach. The city of George Town is close-by and is not an overly urbanized area, but still has its fair share of things to do. From the beach, George Town isn't far off, maybe three quarters of a mile (a kilometer).
The number of other people sharing spots in the sand can vary widely, depending on everything from the time the sun sets to how many people have booked rooms nearby. The beach is not located close to many large hotels, but it's often visited by visitors from some of the smaller accommodations in the area.

Travelers looking for a beach that's right for them will have lots of choices besides Coconut Cove Beach.
If the active mood at Coconut Cove Beach is one of the features you love, think about heading to Jolly Hall Beach, a beach with a similar ambiance. You'll find it a half mile to the northwest. If you'd rather try a more private, less popular location, consider Emerald Bay Beach. You'll find it within the range of a taxi.
You may also enjoy Hooper's Bay Beach, which is located within a couple of miles.
Of course, there is much more to do besides lounge on the sand in the Bahamas, but Coconut Cove Beach is both a refreshing place to relax, and a beautiful natural attraction.
