Protected from ocean waves by Stocking Island, the water is as calm and clear as they come. The experience is tranquil and the views spectacular. It is adjacent to Coconut Cove Beach, but the beach at Jolly Hall is a little wider, and possibly fewer people.
Located on the northwestern outskirts of George Town, Jolly Hall Beach is on the West coast of Great Exuma. You should consider stopping by even if you are not staying in the immediate vicinity. Travelers looking for a spot that's a little out of the way, but still active, may really like a visit to Jolly Hall Beach. It's just slightly removed from the center of it all, but it also doesn't completely lack a social atmosphere.
In the central part of the island, head north from George Town. There are some parking areas off to the right (coastal) side of the road, and from there a path will take you right to the beach.
In between George Town and Hoopers Bay, Johnny Hall Beach is formed by a thin peninsula jutting out from the coast - Johnny Hall on one side and Coconut Cove Beach to the south. The water is shallow and calm, making swimming opportunities available for folks of all abilities.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.
Since Jolly Hall Beach will be found inside an active, busy area, you'll want to plan accordingly.
