Not everyone wants to rent a car to get around during their stay on Great Exuma, and even those who do may only do so for a day or so of sightseeing. For these people, the presence of local taxi services is a great benefit to them.
Taxis are readily available on Great Exuma, especially at the airport and near the busy resort areas of the island. Most resorts are willing to arrange taxi services for their guests when they arrive at the airport, as well as any time they are in need of a ride during their stay, but you can take matters into your own hands and call for a ride yourself.
If you are somewhere where you can't seem to spot a cab, contact one of the services below.

The pricing is based on rates set by the government, so you won't have to worry about reviewing different taxi companies for competitive pricing. You'll pay $3(USD) for two people to get in the cab, and be able to store two pieces of luggage a piece in the trunk free of charge. Each additional piece of luggage costs $2(USD) per bag. Once settled, you'll pay $0.40(USD) per quarter mile traveled, and it will be an extra $3 for each additional passenger. Make sure to tip your driver for their time and service, of which 15 percent is the norm here. You can also hire your driver to take you on a tour of the island for about $150(USD) for two people for half a day.
