Positioned on the island of Grenada, 2.4 miles west of Sauteurs, You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying very close. This isn't just another pretty beach, it also has a private beach feel——a unique quailty in a touristy place like Grenada. While David Bay South might be a little farther away, it allows you to relax without being bothered by the noise of the crowds.
The nearest large road to David Bay South is Prospect Road, but it will be through miles of heavy forest on a smaller road that you drive to reach the beach.
David Bay South features a relatively straight coastline, covered in tan colored sand. The waters are a dark aquamarine, and roll ashore at pretty regular intervals, but are not too terribly strong.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so if you're visiting with small children you might want to consider a different location. Fortunately, the water here is clear enough for snorkeling, so bring your equipment if you want to see the underwater world.

The closest town is St. George's, which is not an overly urbanized area, but still has its fair share of things to do. From the beach, Gouyave is located roughly six miles (nine and a half kilometers) away.
Whether or not you encounter a lot of other visitors will vary depending on the time of day, particularly in the high season when hotels overflow with tourists. There aren't many large hotels nearby, but it's sometimes enjoyed by guests from the few small lodgings in the area.
