Gouyave is known around Grenada as being a busy, friendly, energetic town, and the beach is no different. Visitors should not expect to have the shore entirely to themselves, but the ambiance is such that you will always feel welcome.

Located near the heart of Gouyave, Gouyave Beach is on the North West coast of Grenada. You should think about stopping by whether or not you're staying nearby. The beaches found throughout Grenada tend to be fairly quiet and secluded, but Gouyave Beach is a little different.

How to Access The Beach
The beach is located just off Hills View Road.

Amenities and Ambiance

Primarily a fishing village, there is a dock that stretches out to the sea and the shores of Gouyave Beach are lined with canoes and fishing boats, always ready and waiting to go in search of the day's catch. The beach itself enjoys soft, tan colored sand and a few palm trees here and there. The water is aquamarine in hue.

Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. Each destination around the Caribbean has its own culinary style, and Grenada is no different. One of the most enjoyable places to experience delicious local dishes is right on the water. With this in mind, you might ask your hotel if they offer to pack picnic lunches for their guests. Or, on your way to the beach you could grab some carry-out from a casual dining spot.

There are public restrooms at this beach——something you'll appreciate if you bring the kids along. Fortunately, the water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so purchase or rent some equipment if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life.

Remember to take into account that the area right around Gouyave Beach is highly urbanized, so you may find quite a few people competing for the use of the same services.
