Grand Beach

As the smaller sister to nearby Grand Bay, Grand Beach is located in the popular vacation town of Grand Anse. In fact, the beach is so close to the airport that vacationers can almost step off the jet way and into the sand.

Located in the vicinity of St. George's, 1.3 miles west-southwest of Calliste, Grand Beach is on the South West edge of Grenada. You should think about stopping by even if you aren't staying nearby. Grenada's beaches are hardly known for being secluded, but you'll find Grand Beach to be a little calmer than most, which makes it an excellent attraction for those of you who'd prefer to stay out of the busiest areas.

How to Access The Beach
Grand Beach can be reached from one of the many side roads alongside the airport.

Amenities and Ambiance

Grand Beach is a thin stretch of white sand beach rimmed with trees. The lip of land that separates the beach from the bay is on the rocky side, but visitors shouldn't have trouble walking through the sand elsewhere.

Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, so those of you traveling with small children may want to consider another spot. The water here is clear and good for snorkeling, so bring along some gear if you're hoping to find some interesting marine life.

Bear in mind that the region in which Grand Beach is located is highly urbanized, so show up early.
