As the smaller sister to nearby Grand Bay, Grand Beach is located in the popular vacation town of Grand Anse. In fact, the beach is so close to the airport that vacationers can almost step off the jet way and into the sand.
Located on the southwestern part of the vicinity of St. George's, 1.3 miles west-southwest of Calliste, Grand Beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. You might want to drop by even if you are not staying in the immediate vicinity. Though not very urbanized, many folks still find this a great destination since it's removed from certain noisier areas.
Grand Beach can be reached from one of the many side roads alongside the airport.
Grand Beach is a thin stretch of white sand beach rimmed with trees. The lip of land that separates the beach from the bay is on the rocky side, but visitors shouldn't have trouble walking through the sand elsewhere.
Unfortunately, you won't find any public restrooms along this coastline, though you may be able to use the facilities at a nearby business. You'll find the waters off-shore to be of good snorkeling quality, so grab your gear if you are looking to do some underwater exploration.
Since Grand Beach is of course located in an active, busy area, you might want consider the time when you plan your visit.
Grand Beach is on the South West coast of Grenada. It's located near, which is seen one and a quarter miles to the east, and it is one of a few attractions in the region.
To some, museums and beaches may seem an odd combination, but a quite a few vacationers find that museums like Grenada National Museum (one of the closest to Grand Beach) offer an entertaining diversion and a whole new side of Grenada's history.

The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, it depends on many factors: the time of sundown, happy hour, even how full the nearby hotels are. You can generally expect to share the sand with more than a few other guests who are staying close by.

If someone in your group starts to get a little hungry at the beach, it's alright because you'll have many local dishes to choose from at nearby establishments. One of the closest places to eat is Aquarium Beach Club and Restaurant. The restaurant serves European cuisine. They are also known for serving seafood. You and your group can get to this restaurant and start eating in just a few minutes since it's not far off the beach at all.

There are multiple beaches to discover on Grenada, of course, so if Grand Beach doesn't sound like your type of scene, you have options.
You might also enjoy Grand Anse Beach, located within a mile or so. Grand Anse Beach is one of the best and most well-known beaches on Grenada. Located on the Caribbean, it boasts crystalling blue water and bright white sand. Visitors will find plenty of water sports to play and a variety of vendor stands to explore. Palms provide respite from the mid-day sun and waterfront restaurants provide visitors with tasty food and cold beverages. Still, if you're searching for something a little more active, you might find that Quarantine Point Beach is just right. It's found two miles to the northeast.
You might also want to visit Pink Gin Beach, which is located within a short distance. Pink Gin Beach is located on the southwest tip of the island, and is bordered by two large resorts.
While Grenada has many alluring attractions, visiting Grand Beach or the other beautiful beaches in the area can make your time on Grenada even more memorable.
